What are the costs associated with purchasing custom homes in Spain?

Additional buying costs, such as taxes and fees, can add up to approx. 12% of the property’s purchase price. These costs will comprise: 7% IPT (property transfer tax) in Andalucía, 1.2% for the Spanish equivalent of Stamp Duty (AJD) and 10’% for IVA.  The Land Registry and Notary fees will be between 400€ to 700€ and 600€ and 875€ respectively.  Bank and mortgage fees are charged at the lending bank’s discretion.
